No heat? A few safe things to check first

  • Thermostat Make sure it’s set to heat and set above the room temperature. If it runs on batteries, try fresh ones.
  • Service switch Most oil and gas systems have an on/off switch that looks like a light switch, near the unit or at the top of the basement stairs. Make sure it’s on.
  • Oil tank gauge If you heat with oil, check the gauge on top of the tank. If it reads empty, call us.

If those all look right, stop there and give us a call. If your burner has locked out, don’t press reset. Call us at 215-785-6161.
