Signs it may be time

Repair it or replace it?

  • The boiler itself is leaking A leaking boiler section usually means replacement, not repair.
  • Repairs are stacking up on an older boiler.
  • Zones that never heat right even after repairs.
  • You want hot water from your boiler or you want to stop heating water with it.
  • Parts for your model are hard to find

What to expect

What a boiler replacement involves

  • We look at the whole system not just the boiler: the piping, the zones, the expansion tank and the venting.
  • We size the new boiler to the house and the radiation it has to heat.
  • New controls and near-boiler piping as the job needs them, like circulators, zone valves and expansion tanks.
  • The old boiler is hauled away We take it with us when the job is done.
  • Fill, purge and start-up We fill the system, get the air out, fire the boiler and check every zone.
  • Walkthrough of your new controls.

Choosing the fuel

Oil, gas or propane for your new boiler

Most homeowners stay with the fuel they already have, and that’s often the simplest path. If natural gas has reached your street, we also do oil-to-gas conversions, and we install propane boilers for homes that heat with propane. We’ll talk through what each choice means for your home during your free estimate.

Hot water from the same system

If you’d like your boiler to make your household hot water, we install indirect water heaters that are heated by the boiler. If you’d rather keep a separate water heater, we install those too: gas, propane, oil, electric and tankless.
